The reference insulating film for fine electronics.

Mylar® is a biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film produced by DuPont Teijin Films. This orientation process gives the film exceptional dimensional stability, high mechanical strength, and low gas and moisture permeability.

Available in thicknesses from 6 to 500 µm, Mylar® fits the most demanding applications in electronics, industrial packaging, and electrical insulation. P&P Colorismédia laser-cuts it with precision down to ±0.1 mm for clean, tear-free complex parts.

Dimensional Stability

Biaxial orientation ensuring resistance to thermal and mechanical deformation. Ideal for tight tolerances in electronic assembly.

High Dielectric Strength

100 to 300 V/µm depending on thickness. Provides reliable insulation in capacitors, flat cables, and PCB insulators.

Low Moisture Absorption

Under 0.3% water absorption — stable electrical properties even in humid environments or under temperature variations.

Chemical Resistance

Good resistance to dilute acids, hydrocarbons, and common solvents. Resists surface abrasion without loss of insulating properties.
